Meet 3E

  Emily began her management career in the early 90s as a young supervisor in a small but buzzing business in her hometown in Connecticut. After completing her B.A. at UCONN, Emily took her managerial and logistical talents to a higher level as a director in a statewide urban youth and family program. Young and full of drive, Emily worked tirelessly with her team to coordinate all out-of-classroom education as well as move 3500 students and counselors around the state of CT and the US Eastern seaboard during the academic year and summer camp. With a passion for travel, food and culture, in ‘97 Emily put her career to the side to set out on her first long term trip, a solo twelve-month back packing trek through Mexico, Central and South America. In addition to fully defining herself as a bilingual English/Spanish speaker, this life altering experience launched Emily’s conscious pursuit of the true meaning of the human spirit and her connection to it. In further exploration, Emily spent the next five years traveling with her brother in the Eastern Caribbean on their 30’ sailboat, LEDA, interacting with people from all different cultures and walks of life, honing her ability to intuitively understand and communicate with anyone she encountered. The end of this sailing journey led her to Virgin Gorda which she has called home since 2005 and finally a return to managing and coordinating. Emily diversified her managerial skills by entering the construction industry in 2011 representing a distinguished client on the development of his private island, Moskito Island, then onto the construction of his new home on Necker Island, and finally the extremely challenging reinstatement of both Moskito and Necker Islands post Hurricane Irma. This successful chapter ended at the end of 2018 when, with the encouragement of friends, family and professional peers, Emily started 3E Solutions Ltd., a company that showcases her diverse experience as a construction project manager, her exceptional logistics and procurement qualifications, and her sensibilities to create effective and lasting operational systems. Armed with her exemplary talent and connections in an expansive global network, Emily expanded 3E from the high-end residential market in the BVI to the US commercial market, as a project manager overseeing renovations on a nearly 30-acre property for a major upscale US hotel chain. Utilizing a variety of construction and shipping software such as Procore and Magaya; adeptly navigating and complying with regulatory bodies such as OSHA and EPA; and mastering the terms, conditions and financial accountability systems as defined by AIA standards, Emily’s unique ability to fluidly move between inverse markets, residential vs. commercial and domestic vs. international, crystalized.  With a passion for delivering a top-notch product coupled with a rich history of personal and professional development, Emily confidently possesses the qualities necessary to successfully and confidently represent her 3E Solutions clients. Lyra, a native of Virgin Gorda and a successful entrepreneur, is best known as the owner of Working For You, a successful brokerage firm in the BVI located in the The Valley, Virgin Gorda. With an acute sense of what is best for Virgin Gorda and the greater BVI, and how to best support its residents, Lyra began by assisting homeowners living abroad with the logistics of getting their cargo through the multiple layers of the international shopping and BVI Customs systems to their doorsteps. From there was born a very comprehensive service that assists residents and those abroad with anything from basic mail services to brokerage to filing and advocating for her clients’ government applications such as work permits and Residency and Belonger status petitions. Along with her very successful brokerage firm, Lyra spent many years investing in the future of Virgin Gorda as the former owner of Tiny Treasures, boasting one of VG’s most respected day care and pre-school facilities. In addition, Cleaning For You and Landscaping For You are only a couple more of her companies that have been providing quality services for Virgin Gorda residents and home owners for the past two decades. In 2019 Lyra completed the construction of a new three-story building, Tanya House, and made her grand entrance in the Virgin Gorda community as a commercial property owner. With her new Working For You office flanked by more commercial space and multiple rental apartments on the floors above, it is evident that Lyra is determined to grow and expand in a multitude of directions. As a driven entrepreneur, Lyra diversified her business investments across a variety of disciplines, however, the common thread that pulls them all together and has made each one a success, is Lyra's passion for quality customer service. Lyra strives relentlessly to provide top of the line products for her clients made even better by her diligence, authenticity and integrity when it comes to customer care. From the smallest and easiest to the largest and most difficult, Lyra treats every request and every client the same. Her son, Kimani, a graduate of Johnson and Whales, resides in Florida, pursuing a career in his major, Finance and International Business. Her first daughter Darissa, a US Naval Officer in training and a brand new mom, leads a very busy but extremely fulfilling life, balancing a demanding career with family and a loving home. And Lyra’s youngest, Tanya, an Interlochen Arts Academy graduate, is carving her path hoping to utilize her amazing talent and powerful voice, bolstered by the same resolve that drives her parents' success, to pursue a successful musical career. However, above and beyond these children’s academic and professional accolades, what separates them from the rest and makes them stand out in their community is their compassion, independence, motivation and integrity, an obvious and indisputable reflection of Lyra, her unwavering value system and dedicated family network.
